パナソニック落日の要因は、歴代経営者たちの判断ミスが大きいようだ。

　これまでのような周期で社長交代があるとすれば、今年2月下旬に交代が発表されるのではないかといわれている。3人の有力候補がいるそうだが、中でも「この男ならば」と社員やOBたちにいわれているのが津賀一宏（55歳）だそうだ。

　技術畑で出身で04年に最年少で役員に就任。彼は上に対しても直言することで有名で、パナソニックの主力であるプラズマテレビのパネルをつくるために2,100億を投じた尼崎第3工場を、すぐ閉めるべきだと主張したことがある。

　その工場は1年半前に稼働させたばかりの最新鋭工場だったが、津賀の発言から3カ月後に停止された。また40型のプラズマテレビなどの不採算部門から撤退し、テレビ部門の55歳超の社員を2011年内に全員退職させたのも彼だった。

　彼の「執行力」に経営者としての資質ありとみているようだ。ただネックは55歳という若さだという。
